What is the cost of sessions?
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to initially discuss the prospect of working together. Thereafter, sessions are billed as following:
- Intake Session (90791) : $225
- Individual Psychotherapy Appointment (90837): $175

I am a preferred (in-network) provider for the following insurance plans:

Do I need to verify my insurance coverage prior to our first appointment?
You are responsible for confirming your mental health benefits with your insurance company prior to our first appointment. While insurance may cover part of the cost of therapy, you will be responsible for any difference between the amount charged for services and the contracted amount insurance pays. This may include deductible, copays, or co-insurance fees. To best understand your insurance benefits and anticipate your financial responsibility for services, contact your insurance carrier. Below is a list of questions to consider asking your insurance representative:
- Do I have coverage for outpatient mental health services (CPT codes 90791 and 90837)?
- Does my plan include coverage for telehealth or telepsychology services?
- Does my coverage require preapproval or a referral before services can be utilized?
- What is my deductible and co-pay? What percentage of my psychotherapy fees are covered?
- Are services provided by Nicola Mucci, Psy.D. (licensed psychologist) covered by my plan?
