I practice from a relational psychoanalytic perspective, with an ear towards understanding how past experiences and relationships inform the present.
Harm and healing both occur in the context of our environment and our relationships. Psychotherapy offers an opportunity to examine and understand how problems originated and are maintained within the context of our experiences, including what is happening in our lives right now and what has happened to us historically.
The therapeutic process can lead us to fulfilling discoveries that lessen suffering and deepen our lived experiences. As we become more aware of recurring patterns in our life and how they are maintained, we can have more choices and greater control of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
